Inspired by the visual storytelling of magical + mystical worlds in fairytales, the name Una Volta Studio originates from the famous storybook phrase “C’era Una Volta” (“Once Upon a Time”) that marks the beginning of a beautiful adventure.

Kayla Bonsall, Founder + Chief Creative of Una Volta Studio

Founder Kayla BONSALL began her career working in artist management and marketing in New York City.

After a near decade of helping market and curate the portfolios of photographers, stylists, art directors, hair, makeup & stylists, Kayla founded Una Volta Studio in 2017.

During the same summer, a #vanlife trip across nine states and twelve of America’s National Parks sparked Kayla’s passion for nature and sustainability.

Her quest for earth friendly packaging has led her to expand her reach to include working across new industries (tech, health & wellness, b2b, b2C) and with emerging conscious brands (DTC).

 

Kayla:

Named a Forbes Fellow in 2018

earned a BS in Marketing from Virginia Tech with concentrations in fine arts & international business (lugano, switzerland & evry, france)

Has over a decade of work experience in the NY Fashion Industry

Is certified in:

Corporate Sustainability (NYU)

Regenerative Sourcing & Supply (Kiss the Ground x Terra Genesis)

and Cannabis Science (Sativa Science Club)

Is the author of ‘Daytripper: 60 Days on the Road Exploring America’s National Parks’ - a woman-written, thoughtfully-designed coffee table book inspired by her summer of #vanlife.

followed her passion of regeneration to found plant-based wellness brand Luna Volta.
